Aules del Mar i Terra

Logo Mar i Terra

Mar i Tierra was a society set up in around1900 by maritime and terrestrial workers (from factories), hence its name ('Sea and Land').

The names of the classrooms that currently form part of the space are Amantina, Drissa and Escota. These are all the names of headlands, and thus commemorate the district's past.

The classrooms of the Mar i Tierra Espacio de Cultura are used for a wide range of diverse activities: conferences, workshops, meetings, book launches and so on.

The municipal theatre school uses them every week. The activities and workshops that make up the Popular Culture programme are also held in the classrooms.
